the Civil Rights Act of
1991, the Age Discrimination
in Employment Act, the Equal
Pay Act, the Americans with
Disabilities Act of 1990,
and the Occupational Health
and Safety Act. Attention
will also be devoted to
study the employment at
will doctrine, truth detecting
devices, the Fair Labor
Standards Act, state regulatory
schemes, and the impact
of the preemption doctrine,
and what obligations employers
(public and private), labor
unions, and employment agencies
are under including the
requirement of affirmative
action programs. |

Law |

| This course
constitutes an analysis
of the ends and means of
environmental protection
through study of statutes,
administrative regulations
and practices, and judicial
decisions treating the protection
of the environment in the
United States. Topics may
include The National Environmental
Policy Act, The Water Quality
Act, the Resource Conservation
and Recovery Act and the
Comprehensive Environmental
Response, Compensation and
Liability Act (Super fund).
Solid and hazardous waste
management, risk assessment,
wildlife protection, conservation
of natural resources, and
administrative practice
will also be examined. |

influencing standards of

possession; the methods
